Watch this page for announcements of GBCC meetings at philatelic events throughout the year. If you need GBCC promotional material, please contact the Secretary-Treasurer, Larry Rosenblum, at and he will send you material. Also contact Larry if you want to host a meeting at your local event and we’ll put the information here. Just remember that we have to plan far out in advance! After the event, we’d like to have a short report to share with others.

We’re thinking ahead — and thinking big — for a worldwide gathering of Great Britain collectors in 2009. The star attractions will be the Philbrick and Prussian Finds. The Philbrick collection was assembled in the 19^th century by Frederick Adolphus Philbrick. It features essays and drafts from the period leading up to the first postage stamp. The collection was lost after World War II and recently found in Bonn. The Prussian Find is another outstanding collection of material concerning the development of the postage stamp and includes many one-of-a-kind Specimen sheets of the earliest British stamps.
