To celebrate the year 2000, Royal Mail issued this Millennium
Definitive on January 6, 2000. The Machin portrait was adapted by Richard Scholey of
The Chase design
group. It was issued only as a first class non-value indicated (NVI) stamp. It was withdrawn
at the end of the year and the flame-color Machin was restored. |
